Gasfin FRU

A new concept using proven technology, the FRU (Floating Regasification Unit) is our most diverse solution, designed to cost efficiently connect mid-scale markets with the global LNG trade and ideally suited for growth and seasonal markets. The FRU can operate as a standalone mid-scale FSRU or in combination with an FSU providing additional storage, an equivalent to world-scale FSRUs. The FRU can efficiently serve markets from 0.5 to 3.0 mtpa.

• The FRU can offer 30 – 60% cost advantages vs. large standard FSRUs depending on FSU option

• Provides maximum flexibility to operate with a modified LNG carrier (acting as FSU) to offer the same functionality as a large FSRU, or standalone as a mid-scale FSRU or to provide ad hoc, seasonal or strategic access to the global LNG market

• Gasfin’s complete designs and a larger selection of fabrication yards vs. large scale FSRUs, enables project implementation in < 24 months

• The additional storage capacity on the FRU increases the overall terminal storage capacity of the FSU+FRU and improves supply logistics from larger modern carriers
